Visiting times trajectories and statistics

In an ergodic dynamical system almost every point visits a neighborhood of almost any fixed point infinitely often. This can be seen as a generalization of Poincare recurrence. We shall see what can be said about the statisitcs of such visiting/incoming and its trajectories.
