Can a geostationary satellite oscillate? On some existence theorem for equations with S^1-symmetries.

During the talk I am going to show how one can deal with continuous symmetries in the differential equation. More precisely, how to utilize the symmetries to generalize Lyapunov center theorem. One of the applications of this theorem will be shown - the existence of quasi-periodic motions of the title geostationary satellite.
