With no much exaggeration we can say that we live in times of big data, but also in the era of rapid technological changes. In this talk I will present selected topics of pattern recognition in large streams of data in such areas as medicine, underwater exploration and video analysis, that are based on modern AI techniques such as deep neural architectures as well as on tensor methods.
