I will start by recalling three classical models for spaces in rational homotopy theory: Sullivan's algebraic models and Quillen's coalgebraic and Lie models. Neisendorfer connected both of these approaches and established their equivalence, in the form of equivalences of homotopy categories. This raises the question: can they be lifted to equivalences of the whole homotopy theories? The answer is yes, but there are some subtleties.
