WAICC
We cordially invite undergraduate students and interested high school students to participate in the World AI Collegiate Championship (WAICC). This 23-hour hackathon for three-person teams will take place online over the weekend of November 21–22.
Participants will tackle real-world AI research problems! Participation is free of charge, but teams must register by November 12.
Best Student Paper Award
Our graduate Andrzej Stalke received the Best Student Paper Award at the SPIRE conference (International Symposium on String Processing and Information Retrieval).
The paper Parameterized Complexity of k–Pseudoperiodicity originated from his master's thesis written under the supervision of Jakub Radoszewski.
Lipski Award 2026
The laureates of this year’s Witold Lipski Award are our PhD student Hubert Baniecki and alumnus Michał Nauman. Both conduct research in the field of machine learning.

Call for applications: postdoctoral position in “Advancing Petri Net Theory: A Deeper understanding to Classical Problems and Integration into Workflow Applications” research project
We are announcing a competition for a postdoctoral position (assistant professor) in Opus “Advancing Petri Net Theory: A Deeper understanding to Classical Problems and Integration into Workflow Applications” research project, funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (2024/53/B/ST6/02776). Principal investigator: dr hab. Piotr Hofman.
