ALGOMANET 2026
Two courses in the series of ALGOMANET will be held from June 30th to July 3rd at the Leipzig University:
• Matija Bucić (University of Vienna): Sublinear expander graphs
• Jinyoung Park (Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences NYU): Asymptotic enumeration via graph containers and entropy.
PhD students from MIM UW (both maths and CS) are welcome to participate.
The courses can be used as an equivalent of a PhDOpen lecture.
Registration is open until the 20th of April.

We warmly invite you to come and see at our Facult's Library two Christmas exhibitions:
- "Levitating Christmas tree" by dr Barbara Poszewiecka
and - MS Paint Art works entitled „Wesołych świąt! (Przepraszam za to, ale koledzy się uparli)” (eng.: "Merry Christmas! (Sorry about that, but my friends insisted)"), by Kamil Olszewski.

Ramazan Yozgyur – public defence of the doctoral dissertation
The remote online public defence of the doctoral dissertation will take place on 29 January 2026 at 10:00 AM .
Title of the dissertation: Khovanov-Rozansky slN-homology for periodic links
