Photonic quantum information processing

Współczesna nauka, medycyna i technologie informacyjne wymagają efektywnego przetwarzania danych, jednak powszechnie stosowane algorytmy, np. Szybka Transformata Fouriera (FFT), będąca podstawą analizy i kompresji danych, pozostają nadal wąskim gardłem. Nadzieją na przezwyciężenie tego ograniczenia są rozwiązania kwantowe. Wykład poświęcony będzie wprowadzeniu we współczesne fotoniczne technologie kwantowe i ich możliwościom, w szczególności implementacjom transformat Fouriera i Kravchuka oraz ich zastosowaniom w przetwarzaniu informacji.

Modern science, medicine and information technologies require effective data processing however, the commonly used algorithms, such as the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), which constitute the basis for data analysis and compression, remain a bottleneck. The hope for overcoming this limitation is seen in quantum solutions. The lecture will be devoted to the introduction to modern photonic quantum technologies and their capabilities, in particular to the implementations of the Fourier and Kravchuk transforms and their applications in information processing.
