Spectra and cohomology theories
Summary: The category of spectra is obtained by formally making the
suspension functor on the category of pointed spaces invertible. This
category is important because it is where homology theories live:
every (generalized) homology theory is representable by a spectrum,
and every spectrum represents a homology theory.
