Machine Learning – a new field of master's programs
Basic information
The new, machine learning master's program is a part of the AI Tech project, which aims to create a system model for the education of high-class specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning and cybersecurity. This is a key issue from the point of view of the modern economy and various applications of digital technologies. AI Tech is the next step in the implementation of activities aimed at supporting the development of advanced digital competences and preparing human resources for the digital economy.
MoreInformation about studies
On 1st October, 2021 a new program Machine Learning starts at Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics UW.
Second degree studies (taught in English) enable the students to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in the range of techniques used in machine learning, including statistical machine learning, deep neural networks, reinforcement learning, and finding explanations of the results obtained with help of machine learning procedures. They also make possible to gain knowledge in primary fields in which machine learning is applied such as visual recognition, autonomous devices control, and natural language processing. Owing to that, the graduates will be prepared to design, supervise, and critically analyse software projects in which machine learning plays crucial role as well as to act as experts in the field of machine learning and take up leader positions outside academia.
Here you can find a recording of a meeting concerning the new machine learning studies.
