Digital versions of student textbooks
MIM UW students have the possibility to use e-book resources purchased by our library in the IBUK service (e.g. ‘Differential and integral calculus’ (K. Kuratowski), ‘Complex functions’ (F. Leja), ‘Functional analysis’ and ‘Real and complex analysis’ (W. Rudin), ‘Introduction to algebra’ (Kostrikin), ‘Algebra’ (A. Białynicki-Birula) and more.
Access to IBUK resources subscribed to by the UW is only possible via the BUW (University of Warsaw Library) website. From among the e-books you should choose IBUK and, if you are using it from home, you should choose an entry from outside the UW network. Do not access IBUK via a search engine (e.g. Google), as you will be asked for a PIN, which is not available at BUW. The login details for remote access are the library card / ELS (Electronic Student ID)/ / ELD (Electronic Doctoral Student ID)/ ELP (Electronic Employee ID) and a number and the password for the library account and e-collections."

Logging into the library system
- The library card number is your student card number (the ELS number is the 11-digit number on the back of the card).
- If you have forgotten your password, please enter your card number with any password and then click on the link: "on “Forgot your password?”". The password should consist of numbers only. Enter your library card number and your email entered in usosweb.
- If you have never activated your library card, enter your library card number with any password and then click on the link: "Online account activation for UW students and employees". Account activation takes some time (until the next day or perhaps the next working day), so don't delay until the last minute.
