The exceptional group G2

I will recall the most popular constructions of G2, and briefly sketch some "nonstandard" ways of describing it, trying to emphasize the connections between various approaches. Then I will decribe the G2-flag variety and the connection with the parabolic subgroups of G2. If time permits, I would like to show some examples of computation of cohomology classes of type G2 Schubert varities, using the divided difference operators that I described in detail during my previous talk on Berstein-Gelfand-Gelfand construction.
