The model of two neuron populations will be investigated, each receiving external signals and influencing each other, which leads to changes in their individual activities. This situation is described using a system of delay differential equations. The influence of several parameters on stability and the Hopf bifurcation will be analyzed, including the time delay of self-inhibition and the Hill coefficient. Two version of the model will be compared both symbolically and numerically.
