A. Puchalska (MIM UW), Mixed PDE-ODE network problem with McKendrick boundary condition; Abstract: In the talk we present a new network model with dynamics described by transport equation on edges and ODEs in vertices. Transfer from edges is defined by McKendrick boundary conditions. System can be considered as a generalisation of M/M^B/1 queuing model or as a new attitude to modeling clonal selection in acute leukemia. The aim of mathematical considerations is to show the relation between mentioned models and well-established ODE system describing the same phenomena. M. Lachowicz (MIM UW), Opinion dynamics: 'E pur si spera'?; Abstract: Integro-differential equations that describe opinion dynamics will be presented. The natural question "E pur si spera" will be asked.
