Convection in Navier-Stokes equations

Two funadamental approximations of the full set of the Navier-Stokes equations, i.e. for the mass conservation law, the momentum balance and the energy equation will be derived for convective systems. All the assumptios will be discussed and physical and mathematical relations between both approaches, namely the anelastic vs. Boussinesq approximations will be explained.
