Chain Complex and Symmetric Structure Reconstruction

We discuss our recent work on a reconstruction result for the chain complex and symmetric structure of a manifold $M^n$ using a Morse 2-function $f: M^n \rightarrow \Sigma^2$ as an algebraic analogue of the geometric reconstruction of a 4-manifold $M^4$ from a Morse 2-function $f:M^4 \rightarrow \Sigma^2$ of Kirby and Gay.
