Academy of Innovative Applications of Digital Technologies (AI Tech)
The main aim of the AI Tech project is to create a model of systemic education of high class professionals qualified in artificial intelligence, machine learning and cybersecurity. This is a key issue regarding modern economy and diverse applications of digital technologies. AI Tech is a further step in realization of activities that support development of advanced digital competences and preparation of staff working in digital economy.
The goal of the project will be achieved by close cooperation of academia, central administration, and leading companies operating in the field of digital technologies. Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland is the leader of the AI Tech project and its partners are the following academic institutions:
- Gdańsk University of Technology
- Poznań University of Technology
- Wrocław University of Science and Technology
- Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań
- University of Warsaw
Specific objectives:
- Preparation and carrying out second degree program in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity;
- Carrying out software projects;
- Development of national cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity;
- Development of international cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
As an outcome of the project a model of systemic education of high class professionals in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and cybersecurity will be elaborated and tested. This will have positive impact on development of Polish science and competitiveness of its economy. The resulting solutions will be introduced on a large scale in years 2021-27 by various higher education institutions, including ones with little experience in education of the mentioned above fields. In addition, a group of students will acquire as a result of the project advanced competences in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
The project is funded by Operational Programme "Digital Poland for 2014-2020" (Activity 3.2: Innovative solutions for digital activation, III priority axis: digital competences of society).
Total value of the project is 51 521 859,00 PLN, including 43 602 949,27 PLN funded by European Union.
