The Jacobian Conjecture concerns polynomial maps with constant Jacobian determinat. To study such a map one has to resolve its indeterminacies at infinity, by blowing-up some points at infinity. Very useful turn out special coordinate systems near divisors of this resolution, the so-called Newton-Puisex charts.
