Seminar of Biomathematics and Game Theory Group

In my talk I will present a model describing the spread of multidrug-resistant bacteria in a network of n hospitals and n community nodes representing parts of society outside of hospitals. The model consists of a system of 4n ordinary differential equations. I will show basic mathematical properties of the model and analyse its steady states depending on the value of the basic reproduction number R0. Then I will present further, more detailed analysis for case n=2.  Based on the hospitalization data provided by AOK Lower Saxony I will discuss how to estimate parameters describing the transfers between network nodes. In the end I will present the results of simulations.
