I am going to present the biological background and explanation of calcium homeostasis model in rat body by David Granjon, Aurelie Edwards and Olivier Bonny. The problem of regulation of calcium level is very complex. It engages 4 body compartments - the intestine, renals, plasma and bones - and 3 main characters - except calcium: calcitriol and PTH.
The model consists of 5 ODEs with one delay.
