Fees and charges: amounts, payment due dates, exemptions
- failed courses which are required by the study plan to complete the particular study term: obligatory courses but also elective courses (although in this case, instead of repeating the same course, you can register for another one from the same group),
- failed courses not covered by your study programme (extracurricular courses), that you do not have to repeat;
Fee schedules are published in the annual Rector's ordinances (their full text can be found here). You will find the current MIM fee schedule below. Until the end of your studies you are bound by the fee schedule from the year you started. We charge fees in October - after the academic year has been settled. "Uncleared debts" are visible in usosweb/ common section, under Payments (model FK). If you have problems to pay them, you can request to pay in instalments or defer your payment.
The exemption or partial exemption from the fee can be based, in particular, on:
- outstanding learning outcomes of the student
- outstanding scientific achievements of the student
- outstanding sports achievements of the student in competitions on at least national level
- significant deterioration of the student’s financial position during the study
- important social reasons justifying supporting the student due to their exceptionally difficult personal situation
- especially important social activity of the student for the University, including in the university student organisation
An application based on the circumstances set out/referred to in points 1-3 or 6 shall be submitted to the EUH no later than 30 days before the beginning of educational classes subject to this request, unless the EUH by way of an order specifies a different deadline for its submission (but no later than the date of the start of classes that are the subject of the application).
An application referred to in point 4 or 5 shall be submitted to the EUH no later than three months from the date of significant deterioration of the student’s financial situation or the date of the occurrence of an exceptionally difficult personal situation, respectively. In justified cases, the EUH may accept for consideration an application submitted at a later date.
It is the decision of the vice-dean for student affairs in this matter, and students’ self-government body (students' council) shall submit its opinion. You should submit your application for a fee exemption due to a difficult financial situation within 3 months of the date on which your financial situation deteriorated, enclosing documents confirming your situation (unless you have already enclosed them when applying for a social scholarship).
