The term industrial mathematics is used to designate the mathematical research that is oriented
at the solution of problems posed by industrial applications. It can be considered as a field deeply
interconnected with the field of pure mathematics since it uses potentially all fields of mathematics
and is a continuous source of challenges to the fundamental research because it has often to deal
with completely new mathematical problems.
In course of my work I was involved in different activities in the field of industrial mathematics:
- I was participating in a number of industrial projects
(in some of them as a head of the project). My recent projects are related to my activity in financial mathemaatics.

- For several years I was a member of the Council of
European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI). Link to ECMI home page
- In 2006 I was a co-organizer of the conference:
"Experience and Vision for Industrial Mathematics in Europe".
- In 2010 I was a co-organizer of the
"EMS School on Industrial Mathematics" (more about the School activity).
