Mirror symmetry for determinantal Calabi--Yau threefolds

Abstract:

I will present joint work (with G. Kapustka, S. Filippini, C. Okonek) in progress concerning the study of mirror symmetry for Calabi--Yau threefolds described as degeneracy loci of maps between split vector bundles. We shall overview known results, describe specific phenomena appearing in this context and sketch our strategy for approaching the problem.
