Call for applications, deadline June 18, 2017 The programme offers possibility of scientific cooperation for up to three PhD students for up to three years. This offer is aimed at PhD students willing to work on dynamic games, dynamic optimization, information in games and game theoretic modelling of economic, social or ecological phenomena, analytically or numerically. Students, who are going to work on their PhD Thesis under the supervision of the Project team leader (i.e. dr hab. Agnieszka Wiszniewska-Matyszkiel), are especially welcome. PhD students may be granted 12000PLN per year in the form of a task-specific contract (umowa o dzieło). Applicants should be enrolled in a PhD Programme in mathematics at one of Polish universities or academies. Applications should be send by e-mail to Agnieszka Wiszniewska-Matyszkiel (agnese@mimuw.edu.pl). They should include basic personal data (including name(s), surname, date of birth, e-mail, contact telephone number) detailed information about candidate's studies (date of commencement, department(s), advanced lectures attended by the candidate, date of finishing studies) detailed information about candidate's scientific achievements (average marks, basic information about MSc thesis (praca magisterska), possibly a pdf file of the latter, awards and distinctions, scholarships etc.) a brief description of candidate's scientific interests, explaining in particular his/her interest in the project, previous work on the subjects of the project. The candidate should also arrange a recommendation letter of a mathematician or economist of his choice to be e-mailed directly to Agnieszka Wiszniewska-Matyszkiel, agnese@mimuw.edu.pl. All the documents above must be submited in Polish or in English. The applications will be reviewed by a committee formed by dr hab. Agnieszka Wiszniewska-Matyszkiel and other scientists working in game theory; up to four best candidates will be invited for an interview. The deadline for applications is June 18, 2017; the interviews shall take place at the end of June/beginning of July at the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, University of Warsaw.
