One Ph.D. position in the project „Measure Data Problems” financed from National Science Centre (NCN) Sonata-Bis grant no. 2019/34/E/ST1/00120 is offered. The project is led by Iwona Chlebicka.

Requirements:

• MSc in mathematics, computer science, physics, or related fields obtained not later than on 15.09.2023 (the candidate does not have to hold MSc degree on the date of application)

• fluent written and spoken English and acquaintance with LaTeX

• experience in research in field related to project objectives (documented by authorships of papers, preprints, or opinion by a supervisor)

• deep interest in methods of mathematical analysis and good understanding of functional analysis and partial differential equations, as well as basic methods of calculus of variations

• ability to search scientific literature and read scientific papers

The selected candidate must be enrolled to a Doctoral School located in Poland.

Tasks:

• participation in research project entitled „Measure Data Problems” no. 2019/34/E/ST1/00120

• learning and performing research under supervision of the principal investigator

• writing research papers

• presentation of results at conferences and seminars

Deadline for applications: 25.08.2023

PhD scholarship: 2500 PLN for 34 months on top of the scholarship offered by Doctoral School;
the scholarship will be extended up to 36 months if the funding of the project will be prolonged.

Start date: October 1, 2023
