EAGER is the acronym for the European Algebraic Geometry research training network which was a part of the 5th Framework Programme of EU. Its main aims were as follows:

• training of young researchers in Algebraic Geometry through fellowships and mobility;
  
• joint European research projects in Algebraic Geometry;
  
• organisation of summer schools and training courses.
